Our internships aren’t just about learning printmaking techniques (although we do love that part!). There’s so much to being an artist and preparing for life outside of college, from overcoming self doubt to exploring the many paths artists can take to make a living. We go over all sorts of professional practices like artist statements and bios, websites, business cards, writing proposals, etc. Our interns get to meet artists of all sorts of backgrounds and mediums and expand their artist community outside of their school life which will help in their transition after graduation. We tailor each internship to their interests and where they’re at, so sometimes we bring in artists for studio visits or we could be helping them build conceptual or research based work for their portfolios.
