Are you looking to take your lithography skills to the next level? Perhaps you'd like to create colorful litho prints but don't want to go through the steps of processing your stone for each color. Well, look no further because this workshop will show you how to use Sharpie makers and alcohol ink to create multi-colored prints quickly, with little processing time, using one stone!
Students will first prepare a stone and learn about paper preparation and registration. They will then draw each color layer into the stone, based on their own photo or drawing, using Sharpie or alcohol ink. We will also go over printing, color mixing and blend roll techniques. Students will go home with a small, multi-colored edition of prints.
Please bring a drawing or photo on copy paper that is 7"x 9" to transfer to the stone. It will reverse, so if there are words, make sure they are drawn backwards.
Please bring dish washing gloves or latex gloves and wear closed toed shoes.
